Russ Tringali - Head Pro
PTR Certified Professional, USTA Certified Professional 1
Russ is the Tournament Director at the Village Glen responsible for organizing tournaments, leagues, and socials. His organizational and people skills make Russ extremely successful at putting players and matches together ensuring a great time for everyone. Russ has been playing tennis for over 30 years earning the titles of NYS SUNY Champion in 1981, NYS Doubles Champion in 1982 and 1983, and #1 ranked singles player at UB from 1981-1984. Russ has been a teaching pro for 27 years, coaching some of the most successful juniors earning national and sectional rankings. He gained recognition and experience as the Assistant Tennis Coach for the University at Buffalo Men's Tennis program from 1987-1988 while the Assistant Pro at Amherst Hills Tennis Club from 1981-1990. Russ accepted the Head Pro position at the Village Glen where he gained his managerial experience from 1990 - 2000. Today, Russ runs numerous USTA and non USTA tournaments each year. He currently owns the Pro's Shop at the Village Glen.
Ryan Gallo

Ryan is a favorite among children and parents at the Village Glen. Ryan has been a teaching professional for over three years. He has been coaching and teaching at the professional, collegiate and high school level for the last 15 years. He was trained and coached by former Director of Tennis Tom LaPenna and Don Becker. Ryan has a bachelor of science in PE and is a former Division 1A athlete from St. Bonaventure University.

Emily McAdoo joined the front desk staff in November 2007, having moved to the Buffalo area to pursue a master's degree in Musicology from the University at Buffalo. In May 2007, Emily attained her bachelor's degree in music education with a concentration in voice and piano performance. While at Nazareth, Emily participated in numerous musical activities such as choirs and operas, as well as competing in singles and doubles on the Intercollegiate Tennis Team. In addition to being co-captain of the team, Emily earned scholastic and athletic awards throughout her four years, including the Empire 8 Conference 'Sportswoman of the Year' Award. Emily continues playing tennis as much as possible and now coaches our youngest students at the Village Glen and Park Country Club.
Chuck Marczak - PTR Certified Professional

Chuck has played tennis for 30 years and has been teaching in the area for over 12 years. Starting at the Glen in 2004, Chuck has taught all levels from pee wee thru juniors to adults. Chuck is certified by the PTR, worked as a certified USTA Official, and has participated in workshops, symposiums, and local tournaments. He believes tennis is a life-long learning experience. Chuck maintains an awareness and working knowledge of cutting edge teaching techniques with an emphasis on High Performance Player Development as refined by the USTA, USPTR, and USPTA. His teaching philosophy focuses on an individual's need to develop well rounded skills with regard to stroke mechanics, footwork, and correct technique; as well as tactical and strategic facets of the game. Good fundamentals combined with an individual's style help them become the best player they can be.
Lisa Nowaryta
Lisa has been playing tennis in Buffalo since she was 8 years old and has been teaching since she was 16, in a summer recreation program. She played for Cheektowaga Central High School, breaking school records at first singles. She continued on to play Division One tennis at the University at Buffalo for 4 years under Coach Kathy Twist and was captain her senior year.
She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Marketing. She has worked full time at JB's Tennis Shop in Williamsville for 7 years as the Apparel Buyer.
Ross Nwachukwu
Ross Nwachukwu grew u playing junior tennis and Men’s open tennis tournaments in the Buffalo, New York area. He finished many years ranked #1 in Western New York among all of the men’s open tennis players from 1990-2005. Ross was a two time National High School Tennis All-American in both 1989 and 1990. He was a finalist in 1989 and semi-finalist in 1990.
Ross was inducted into the Bennett High School Hall of Fame with a career tennis record of 110 wins and 5 losses.
Ross was also a four time Buffalo Municipal Men’s open Champion. Ross had an outstanding college tennis career at Drake University a Division 1 tennis program. He was an eight time Missouri Valley champion both in singles competition and also doubles competition. He amassed an incredible 273 career singles and doubles wins during his illustrious four year career at Drake. He helped Drake qualify for the NCAA championship as a team in 1992, 1993 and 1994. He also qualified for the NCAA singles championship in 1994.
Ross Nwachukwu is one of the only three former Drake Men’s tennis players to make the Missouri Valley Conference men’s tennis ALL-CENTTENIAL TEAM. In 1994, Ross earned a bachelor’s degree in business majoring in business management.
Ross went on to play numerous satellites, futures, and challenger events during his pro tennis career posting notable victories over players ranked in the top 200 in the world.
Ross was the Drake University assistant men’s tennis coach during the 1995-1996 season. He was the University of Kansas assistant men’s tennis coach for the 1999-2000 season and then became the University of Kansas head men’s tennis coach for the 2000-2001 season. Ross was also the University of Buffalo assistant women’s tennis coach for the 2002-2003 season. From 2002-2006, Ross worked at the Village Glen Tennis club as a USPTA certified tennis instructor teaching numerous private and group lessons. From 2006-2011, Ross taught tennis lessons at Sportsplex. Ross has now brought his talents back to the Village Glen and has been with the club since the summer of 2011.
Jack Spasiano

Jack has been involved in all aspects of the club since he started. From greeting and taking care of people at the front desk, teaching on court, and stringing and operating tournaments through the Pro's Shop, Jack has enjoyed being a part of the Village Glen team. Among these things, Jack is also becoming a USTA sanctioned referee for tennis matches at all levels, including the collegiate level. Jack graduated in 2008 from St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute where he ran Cross Country for four years, one year which he was captain, and played on the Varsity Tennis team all four years, along with being the captain for two of those years. He returned in the 2009 season to assistant coach on the Varsity Tennis Team at Joe's and is looking forward to this season as well. Jack has taught players from the beginner levels all the way to adults, he continues playing as often as possible and loves being a part of the game.
